A Discogram is a type of injection where dye is injected into the disc. It's usually followed by an x-ray and then a CT-Scan. This test can be helpful in getting more structural information about the disc then MRI can achieve. It can also be used to see if a disc is causing pain. There are three parts to the test:

The Injection-A needle is directed at the disc in question using a fluoroscope. Dye is injected into the disc. Tell the doctor if you've ever been allergic to the type of dyes used for x-ray.
